On Sunday, 20th February, when I went to Tianfu Square I had no idea about why there were police and military men swarming all over the place with menacing sniffer dogs. And the policemen in China look tough and mean business, you wouldn’t want to mess with them. The next day I read about the “jasmine revolution” and it sent a tingle down my spine. What if I had been caught in the middle of some protest!
Interesting picture, Birdy! If you had been caught in the middle of the ‘Jasmine revolution’ you could have written a book about it later – you would have become a celebrity 🙂 On a more serious note, looking at the situation in the Middle East with people revolutions breaking out everyday, things seem to be definitely scary.
