This is the sight that meets you on the trek to Emei Shan. Endless steps, unfurling for miles and miles. When I started out at the base and perhaps till half the way the steps were dry and surrounded by green trees. As I ascended more and more, they became snow and ice encrusted with the foliage around covered in mist.
I loved both the pictures side by side! Makes me nostalgic! I climbed some of these steps to reach the intermediate temple. I never saw the steps with snow . I remember going to Emei Shan in May. I don’t know whether Emei Shan has snow at this time. Really proud that you reached the summit – that is really awesome!
I doubt if it has much snow on the top in May… I particularly went at this time because I wanted to see the landscape of snow and ice… Thanks Vishy, you are great with encouragements 🙂
