Jordan was all falafel and hummus, history and argileh/shisha. But there was also the mint tea. A drink that was readily available everywhere.
I learnt that the word for mint in Arabic is “nana.” I am not much of a tea person but I loved the tea with nana that the friendly locals offered me. Maybe it was the way they made it. Sugary and just the right temperature with a hint of freshly crushed mint. Or maybe it was their disarming smiles. Methinks it’s a bit of both that makes it good for your health.
P.S. I did drink lots of the coffee and loved it as well, but that’s another post.
